Tropical Paradise Party! - Shop The Tallulah Collection
-
Let's celebrate in paradise! For Mila's 11th birthday, she wanted a lush tropical paradise party - complete with toucans, flamingos, LARGE flowers, and LIVE tropical animals, oh my! I designed a line of colorful party accessories with bright color tones, and exciting props to help bring in the tropical vibe. Paradise Awaits!Mia's Party Invitation
-
This year I designed the "Tallulah" party theme with party colors in neon pink and green tones wit flamingos, toucans, pineapples, and watermelons - so fun!
-
Door Sign
-
I love to create a colorful entrance to let our guests know where to come. A fun and colorful door banner is the perfect touch to welcome your family and friends with style!
-
Everyone received a flower lei when they arrived, and got to choose their color from the flower basket. We also decorated all the indoor spaces with live and faux flowers, which really bought the "tropical paradise" indoors.
-
I adore simple and easy appetizers that everyone loves. I always include a few healthy options in the mix of all the other sweets and candy available. Guests appreciate a little variety.
-
For Mila's tropical paradise party, I designed several fun and easy party foods. I used plastic beverage cups as "fruit Cups" just added forks for easy eating. This adds instant color to the table with minimal effort - Win - Win!
-
Party Name Banner
-
I tied the banners with green tulle and metallic gold curling ribbon for a fun and colorful touch.
-
I love using clever phrases for simple and easy finger foods. It give the feeling of super custom, but the ease of just "open and pour in a bowl" is PRICELESS!
-
I attached a flat place card to a card holder, and buried in the Hershey's® candies with personalized circle stickers. I finished the effect with double sided pennant sticks for added fun. It's a quick, easy, and inexpensive way to really make a fun appetizer for the dessert table.
-
I always have a dessert/snack table that is separate than the food/dinner buffet. This is great for large parties, as guests can "snack" on the dessert table before the meal.
-
I make a fun "Beverage Station" sign for the drink bar, and placed faux botanical flowers throughout to make it feel tropical and full of color.
-
I love to have a separate beverage station with a variety of refreshing beverages. I always include water as an option, as the South Texas heat can be so oppressive! I also include sprite bottles so you can mix them with the fruit drinks for a "fancy" drink that the kids LOVE!
-
I laminate my beverage cards to add durability and protection from the occasional splash of liquid.
-
Everyone knows I LOVE party straws! I personalized them with Mila's name and age 11 in colorful pink and green colors. The gold straws are the perfect "bling" to add to the rustic nature of an outdoor party. Completed the effect with fun mini drink umbrellas - Cheers!
-
I got fabric from JoAnn Fabrics® for the tables, and combined color tones of pink, green, and gold to complete the look. It also helps to have a mix of textures to the fabric, to really give it a layered effect. Faux leaves and branches help achieve the rustic aesthetic and dramatic outdoor look.
-
I used centerpiece sticks in all the flower displays, both inside and outside, to add instant color and custom touch to the arrangements.
-
"Toucan Party Better Than One!" Water Balloon Toss was a BIG hit! It was a very hot and humid day, so the toss quickly turned into a water balloon frenzy of water "fighting". It was a great way to cool off!
-
I framed the large game sign poster and hung it over the back of a chair with curling ribbon. It was fun, easy, and was a great way to mark the space for the games.
-
I used fun garden pink flamingos and pool rings to make this fun and easy game. The kids loved it and everyone who played got a prize!
-
I gave out participation bags for playing the games. It's a great way to get the kids involved, but make sure everyone that plays gets a prize! I did pineapple drink favors for the boys, and pink flamingo drink favors for the girls. Mahalo!
-
I love to give a parting gift, and these awesome treat boxes are the perfect touch. I did 2 box color options to keep it fun and colorful. I filled the boxes with amazing goodies, Hershey's® chocolate (of course, it's my fav) and finished the box with gold "11" for Mila's age - so fun!
-
We placed metal birds throughout the garden, complete with colorful flower leis. Everyone love them!
-
We took Mila out to dinner on her birthday before the party to her favorite restaurant: The Rain Forest Cafe!

-
Happy Birthday Banner
-
I placed a few large party banners inside to drape on the walls.
-
The Food Table
-
I catered the sandwiches and chips from Jason's Deli®. We included an "Alcoholic" section for the adults to have a little Run in their punch. Bottoms Up!
-
I designed several food tent cards at the dessert table and paired them with fun candies, cookies, and sweet treats.
-
I dressed up the guest bathroom with cards and signs too!
-
I made ordered store bought chocolate cupcakes with colorful frosting, then added the topper. Sometimes it's easier to just buy the food, and add the decorations!
-
I used colorful plastic tableware and wrapped plain containers in glitter gold and bright colors - Aloha!
-
Tent appetizer cards are a great way to provide a unique and clever touch. They are an inexpensive option and sure to impress your guests!
-
I used an inexpensive clear vertical frame from Walmart for Mila's party invitation. Makes a great addition to the table without a bunch of extra fuss. Love it!
-
Every year I make a "Featured Drink" card for just the adults. This year, we offered the famous Pink Hawaiian. Cheers!
-
Paper Beverage Cups
-
I brought in the "Bling" with these adorable table decorations from Amazon.com® to decorate the outdoor tables.
-
Dessert Table with Plush Flamingos and Toucans
-
I made the pennant cake banner double sided, so it's readable from both sides of the table.
-
I placed several party banners throughout the space, both inside and outside for max effect.
-
Colorful Macaw Parrot
-
We were honored to give a LIVE animal presentation of some of the most incredible animals. We had a sloth, kinkajou, parrot, and more!
-
We even did a Photo Booth, and had guests strike a pose in their best Aloha gear! We had everyone use their own phones to capture the photos, so everyone could have their own photos, making it so much easier, than having to look through, and email all the individual photos after the party.
