This year I designed the "Sophia" party theme with party colors in bright pink and green tones - Perfect for a rain forest party!
Welcome Banner
I love to create a colorful entrance to let our guests know where to come. A fun and colorful door banner is the perfect touch to welcome your family and friends with style!
Welcome Door Banner
For Mila's rain forest party, I designed several party banners to hang throughout the party space. I added several matching party decorations from Party City to add additional color throughout the spaces.
Party Name Banner
I tied the banners with pink tulle and green curling ribbon for a fun and colorful touch.
"Jungle Juice" - Sweet Lime Punch
I laminate my beverage cards to add durability and protection from the occasional splash of liquid.

Beverage tag for drink dispenser
I love to think of unique and clever things for my food and drinks - Even plain old water is transformed to "Waterfall Water" - So fun!
Paper Pennant Straws
I just LOVE party straws! I personalized them with Mila's name and age 9 with little creatures throughout.
"Amazon Fish" - Green Swedish Fish Candy
"Tropical Corn Dog Bites" - Super yummy!
Mila had a special request for me to make my special home-made corn dog bites. They were gone shortly after I took this photo - LOL!
The Dessert Table - yummy!
"Snake Eyes" - Green Grapes
I adore simple and easy appetizers that everyone loves. I always include a few healthy options in the mix of all the other sweets and candy available. Guests appreciate a little variety.
Mila is 9!
We always have to have at least one bouquet of balloons. Mila absolutely loves balloons!
Centerpiece Decorations
I put these amazing centerpieces everywhere! I love how easy it is to dress up a tablescape or dessert table. So colorful and festive - Sure to be a crowd favorite!
I love my friends!
"Wild Berries"
"Ants On A Log" - Celery with Peanut Butter and Raisins
Loot Bags for the Piñata
I used fun stickers to attach to plain kraft handled bags. Super easy and still looks great!
Mila's turn to take a swing!
Our tradition continues with our beloved Piñata event. San Antonio (where we live) is an amazing place with a rich and vibrant history. Piñatas are a regular sight at birthday parties and special events. We try to have one at every single party we host - So fun!
So Close!
Treat Bag Toppers with Kisses®
I love to give a parting gift, and these awesome treat bag toppers are the perfect touch. Simply fill a Ziploc® Baggie with treats seal up and add the treat bag topper - So easy!
Tip: Use double sided tape for an invisible seal and professional finish.
Double Sided Entrance Banner
a BIG Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate. a BIG BIG thank you to everyone who helped make this special party possible - Especially my Mom - I love you all!
Happy Birthday Banner
I placed decorations both inside, and outside the house with banners and rain forest themed decorations throughout. My love for tablescapes has really allowed me to get creative with the food and drinks. I love simple, yet delicious, appetizers with clever tent card text - Makes for a very fun and festive event!
Dessert Table Goodies
I designed several food tent cards at the dessert table and paired them with fun candies, cookies, and sweet treats. :)
Dessert Table Goodies
Tent Card and Cupcake Topper Display
I used cupcake toppers to dress up centerpieces and displays, even in the bathroom!
Cupcake Toppers
I made chocolate cupcakes with chocolate frosting frosting and covered them in pureed Oreo® cookies to make them look like "dirt". They were so much fun and incredibly delicious!
"Rain Forest Twigs" - Pretzel Sticks
I always have a dessert/snack table that is separate than the food/dinner buffet. This allows your guests to snack before the meal.
I made this amazing chocolate Oreo® pecan cake and the result was so awesome! I wanted the cake to look like "dirt and "rocky soil" so I came up with the idea of a pureed Oreo®/pecan topping - So delicious!
"Rainforest Punch" - Pink Lemonade
Chips and Queso - A party favorite!
No party is complete with out chips and queso. We're from south Texas y'all!
Making Margaritas for the Adults!
I provided home made top-shelf margaritas for the adults. This is how we roll in San Antonio, Texas! HaHaHa!
Delicious Top Shelf Margaritas for the "Over 21" guests
Ingredients: 1 Package (14 oz) Ghirardelli® Milk Chocolate Melting Wafers 4 Bananas - not too ripe 6-10 Oreos® Cookies 1 Cup Pecans 12 wooden sticks (available at Walmart)
Puree Oreos® and pecans in a food processor to achieve the "dirt" before beginning.
1. Cut Bananas into 3-4 inch "bites" and place onto wooden sticks 2. Melt chocolate in bowl for dipping 3. Dip bananas into chocolate 4. Roll chocolate covered banana into Oreo®/Pecan Mixture 5. Make sure the banana is good and covered 6. Transfer to wax paper and chill for 30-60 minutes
Tip: Use bananas that aren't too soft and chill them a bit before beginning, so the banana doesn't fall off the stick. Also, it's helpful if you have your ingredients ready to go (chocolate and Oreo®/pecan mixture) before beginning the dipping/rolling, so you can quickly dip, roll, and place on the wax paper.
