July 4th, 2016Celebrate Liberty!
Let's Celebrate the USA! This year I decided to do a fun and playful Patriotic Owl party theme. We usually have more "grown up" decorations at this event, so I wanted to do something more for the kids this year.
-
Door Banner Sign
-
The door banner is great way to welcome your guests to your party. Bright and festive colors will be a great addition to your patriotic party theme.
-
I dressed up the outdoor entrance red, white, and blue balloons. I used a double sided laminated pennant banner to welcome the guests.
-
I used cards and cupcake toppers throughout the house to decorate, even in the bathroom!
-
Beverage Station
-
This year I made these famous "Cherry Bombs - So delicious! I dipped maraschino cherries into melted white chocolate and then in blue sprinkles. Add to wax paper and refrigerate until ready to serve. It's a great recipe that the kids can make along with you. Our daughter, Mila, LOVES the "dipping" part!
-
I have different stations for food, beverage, over 21, and desserts. This allows more room with large parties. The beverage table was a lot of fun, and there was also sodas in the cooler - Something for everyone!

Blue Margarita Recipe:
2 oz Top Shelf Tequila
1 oz Blue Curaçao
1 Oz Triple Sec
1 oz Lime Juice
Sugar the glass rims the rims of 8 glasses (if desired). To do so, pour granulated sugar onto a small plate, rub the rims of the glasses with lime, and press them into the sugar. Fill the glasses with ice.
In a blender or shaker, combine ingredients and blend/shake until mixed well. Pour liquid into glasses. Enjoy! -
Party favor cards and appetizer cards are a great way to dress up your party. I used several appetizer cards for my dessert table. I used a folded tent cards and flat cards to decorate throughout the house. I love using flags to decorate the flower pots!
-
I placed American flags throughout the space - both inside and outside - for a colorful and festive accent.
-
I love to re-use my double sided laminated banner! It says "WELCOME" on one side, and "HAPPY 4th" on the other. As long as they are the same number of letters, any phrase is possible!
-
Fajitas are another Texas favorite! We BBQ early in the morning for several hours, and keep the meat hot in our dutch oven container - So easy!
Vanilla cupcakes with cream cheese frosting and sprinkles

Our Party Invitation
-
For our 2016 Party, I went with the "Blakeley" party theme. This super cute patriotic owl theme is was a BIG hit with kids & adults!
-
Party Banner
-
I love to put a variety of "ready made" food out for guests to munch on. These fun and easy snacks are also the most loved!
-
No Texas party is complete without chips and queso!
-
I love my new acrylic beverage dispensers! They are lightweight - won't break easy, and they hold a TON of liquid! I love to celebrate the color of the beverage. For the "Patriot Punch" is cherry drink, "Ice Cold Water" is water, and "Freedom Punch" is blue berry drink - so fun and easy!
-
This year I added pennant straws to the table for added decoration and fun! These amazing water resistant straws hold up great in liquids for the party. Even the "pennant" part of the straw is water resistant - Awesome!

I had a lot of fun decorating the coordinating items for this adorable Patriotic Owl "Blakeley" party theme!
-
I love to decorate both inside and outside for my guests.
-
This year I gave out chocolate Kisses® candies in these fun folded treat bag toppers - They are easy to fill with your favorite treat and seal with double sided tape - So easy!
-
-
A big thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate, and a Big, BIG thank you to all that helped make this a wonderful and memorable party!
